Since Hurricane Harvey the Houston area has been needing help recovering physically and emotionally. Even the people in our school have been affected by the flooding or just the depth of Harvey seeing our hometown get torn into pieces. The community has helped people and businesses into working hours and giving and donating items for a natural life. Harris county is one of the biggest counties in the US. 40% of 100% of Harris county flooded leaving many with damages homes. I've interviewed Josie Johnston her house was very damaged.

Josie (Josephine) Johnston she was affected by the flood like most others. She knew her house was going to flood but stayed calm and was ready for the aftermath. Her

family of 5 with 2 dogs and 1 cat. She left her house on the monday evening at about 5:30.She got many items taken away from her but she always focused on her grandma's piano which was taken away. The community came to help but most importantly the church she goes to helped. Her house is currently gutted out and ready for inspection.
