This year, a record breaking hurricane hit the coast of Texas. Due to this storm many events and holidays might be disrupted, like Thanksgiving. A trouble many people might have this year is with traveling. Thanksgiving is a time where your whole family gathers around one table to eat the traditional foods. However with all the damage Harvey made, many homes where people gather have been flooded and will not be fixed in time for Thanksgiving.

This is because of this families will have to find the closest place to gather for their convenience. Another problem we might have this year is a food shortage. “We used to get together, and since Harvey and everything we are not going to get together because of all the damage that was done, so we are going to have a really really small Thanksgiving dinner, with just me my sister and my brother in law…” Says Nancy Louis,a Cms guest teacher. Overall we should be grateful for the family we have now.
